The adventures of month 3!!

So, now that we got settled back in at our home in San Diego, I am so thankful will live in such a wonderful place! Phoenix was fun while it lasted, but we definitely do not miss the heat! We do miss our friends and family and are determined to get more of them to move to California :) This month was full of firsts for Asher: his first air plane ride! his first night in a cabin! his first real big smile! Here are the details of his 3rd month below, narrated by Asher of course :)

Today I was babysat for the first time! My mom knew I would have fun with my friend Scarlet and her mom Anna did such a good job entertaining me. She even took some great pictures of me while I was there for my mom :) I was having so much fun that when my mom came to pick me up, I wanted to stay longer!

While I was at my friend Scarlet's house, I also learned how to box! Put em up!


I went to the beach for the very first time! My mom has told me since I was born that I was going to be a beach baby and I never knew what she meant until today! I can't wait to learn how to surf!

That's the ocean behind me! Isn't it awesome?? I had such a good time today :)

We had such a good time with our friends. That is my friend Scarlet's mommy, Anna (aka.. the great babysitter!!

Then it was time to get on my very first plane ride and go to Yosemite National Park! My friend Scarlet's mom and dad are moving back to Iowa and my mom and dad wanted to go on vacation with them, so I got to go along! My mommy is afraid of flights, but I found the plane ride nice and relaxing and I slept the whole way! This is a great view, but I wasn't very happy, the sun was in my eyes!

Hmmm, but I don't look at thing like my mommy! Where the heck did those elf eyes come from???

This is me hanging out in my BOB running stroller! I love it! I can go over rocks or sand and anything else with no problem!

Whew.... this is the most excitement I have had since I came into the world. I am so beat! I'm going to take a nap now, but I can't wait what next month will bring!

Month number 2!

So, I just finished taking the Arizona bar exam and now I can concentrate on spending time with Asher and John before heading back to work in another month. This was our last month in Phoenix and we got to spend it with our friends and family. As much as we will miss everyone, all three of us are ready to get back to the coast!


Asher wanted to tell everyone about all the people he go to meet this month!



I got to meet my Great Grandpa Brad for the very first time and we had a lot of fun together :)

I love my Great Uncle Mike, but I was not in a good mood that day :(

All that screaming made me tired so by the time my Great Aunt Kathy picked me up, it was time for a nap!


Then it was time to take a short road trip to Tucson, where I got to meet even more of my family! This picture is me with my Great Grandma Beverly, I love being held by her :)

I also love my Great Grandpa Joe!

This is my mom and dad's friend Matt.... I hope I am that big one day!

Whew! That was exhausting! Now, it's time to just hang out with Mom and Dad and relax!

As you can see, I plan on keeping mommy and daddy laughing for a very long time!

Asher's first month...........

Since my best friend, Anna is a photographer, we got some amazing pictures of Asher right away..

Although he wasn't always very excited about it! (one day I will show ths picture to his girlfriend!)

He loved being swaddled, and that always seemed to calm him down... although his arms had to always be out...

once he calms down, he really starts to let his personality out.......

and then the fun never ends.......

There is nothing more amazing that watching this tiny person you brought into the world discover everything for the first time. When looking into that little face, everything just seems to make more sense.

Of course, there are moments when you are completely sleep deprived,

But, everyone single sleepless night is well worth the joy and love we get to feel everyday. I can't even imagine a single second of my life without him.

The Day Asher came into the world....

On May 28, 2008 at 2:07 p.m. Asher Jonathon Sylvester came into this world at 6 pounds, 6 ounces, 19.5 inches. He was being a little difficult at first, so he had to be delivered by C-Section. Even though he had a rough start, the minute he was born, he screamed his lungs out and let us know he was just fine. That moment was the start of the most amazing adventure John and I could have ever hoped for.





This is the first time I got to see him...



Because I had to get stitched up after my C-Section, John got to stay with him in the nursery.



He also got to be the first to hold him....




When I finally got to spend time with him, I could tell right away he had a hilarious personality!



He had this thing with only wanting one eye open at a time....


Since he was a premie, we did lots of skin to skin cuddling....






Isn't he just the most adorable thing on the planet!

We were so excited when we got to take him home, but also really nervous! We are so gratefuly we have a healthy, happy little boy and can't wait to share him with the world!
